How precious are Your thoughts to me, O LORD ... how vast is the sum of them!

News Plus Links

Without further ado …

My website is up! I am happy enough with it to share the link, though I will continue to tweak and update here and there; as you’ll see, the library page could use more books.

Speaking of websites, I have two others to share with you! My brother and sister-in-law now have a blog and a website: Jamieson Bryant’s blog is called Disciple Hub. Ever since he was a teenager, he has had a deep love for the Bible and an intense focus on what it means to be a disciple of Jesus. He is now putting those years of study and relationship with the Lord into words that can challenge and encourage all of us. Jessica Bryant has a website (J. K. Bryant Books) and—more significantly—has recently published three picture books! Two for children and one of wedding memories. The children’s books are two precious poems that she wrote, accompanied by lovely pictures. The wedding one is about the vows made at the ceremony, illustrated by photos of her and my brother’s wedding.

Can you tell I’m proud of them? : )

My third bit of news is that I’ve officially started the third Six Cousins book. This is very exciting for me, because for years I’ve wondered what the story will be about, and now enough has come to me to get started. I give you this peek: It picks up on Marielle’s life ten years after the second book. She is almost twenty-four. And … there is a young man. Following up on this, I’d like to ask a sort of poll question: What two occupations do you think are the most interesting? I’m asking for Marielle’s brothers Garrison and Benjamin. Publishing and working at a library are already taken for this story, I’m afraid; thus I want these boys—now strapping young men—to be going into something else interesting and meaningful. They’re bright and open to almost anything!

  1. When will the second Six Cousins book be out? And oh the third one sounds exciting...I very badly want to read it and see what happens now! But first I need to finish book one and read the second one. ;) I think that two occupations for Marielle's brothers might be a...preacher and writer. :)

    1. Hi Micaiah! Thanks so much for your comments.
I really hope that the second Six Cousins book will be out this fall---I am working to ensure that! I like your suggestions for the occupations. I hadn't considered a preacher before, but that one especially might work in well! Writers are definitely interesting, and doctors are, too. I can see the potential in all of them for this story. : )

  3. Yay website! Aaahhh, it's absolutely GORGEOUS!! Well done Kelsey! ^_^

And... wow, what is this about the third? O_O Ten years is QUITE a gap... I'm not sure what to think of this news yet, but I look forward to hearing more about it. :) Since the series is "Six Cousins", will the others feature in it?

As for occupations... I see many of the intellectual jobs have been mentioned already... I'm not entirely sure what your definition of interesting and meaningful is, but how about rancher/farmer--maybe doing things on the family land or the grandparents' land, or somewhere else? Or running a bookstore--what *I'd* want to do. ;) Or construction, or electrical work, or... I dunno, I can't think of very many right now... I'm sort of picturing Garrison and Benjamin growing up to be very ACTIVE. :P (With the way they run around and are so energetic in the first one, anyway, I'm not sure they'd want to be stuck behind a desk. XD Could just be me though.)

Er... sorry for the ramble... >.> I hope you get it figured out! :)

    2. Thank you, Deborah! I figured you'd like the green. : )

Ten years is a gap, but nothing important seemed to present itself as happening earlier than that! And yes, the others will feature in it! I'm not sure how much yet, but they should all be in there.

: ) I wanted to know what other people found interesting and meaningful. Your suggestions are great! You're right, Garrison and Benjamin are very active ... especially Benjamin. As for running a bookstore---I forgot to say that's taken, too. : ) Marielle works at one!

Don't apologize for the long, lovely comment! I love it!

And the martial artist ... I seriously considered that for Marielle's young man, as his hobby! It might still get in there!
